Dear Manfred,

What a delightful way to start the new year! I look forward to seeing your monthly contributions over the next 12 months! Your postings add a lot of interest to the ABA website and, for that, I am very thankful.

Wishing you and your family a prosperous and enjoyable new year!

Dear Carolyn,

thanks for your nice comment on my bell activities.

As I mentioned in our previous exchange of ideas one of my aims is to encourage other ABA members world-wide to make
similar efforts giving us all a better chance to get to know more bell collections of different types in detail.

Thanks also for your most valuable work for our organisation.

Best wishes from Germany to you and all ABA friends for the year 2011.

Manfred

Dear Carolyn,

the bell of January and text disappeared from this site.
do you have an explanation to what happened to my site and what do you
suggest I should do now?

Thanks for your assistance.

Manfred

Yes, it did! My goodness! I will check with the webmaster and see if he can reinstate it. I haven't had to deal with this situation before.

Thanks for letting me know, Manfred. I'll get back to you when I know something.

Since bell and text disappeared from my ABA site for reasons unknown to me
I will make a new post in order to give sense again to this page.

The bell presented for January was made by Austrian sculptor Peter Tereszczuk (1875-1963).
He was one of the few bell makers signing his work. He can also easily be identified because -
as in this case - his speciality has been to work in the combination of bronze and ivory.

Typical also for him the sculptures of charming children and young women.

For more details I invite you to visit my homepage:

Dear Manfred,

Thank you for reposting your Bell of the Month of January 2011. I heard back from the web master last night and he said I deleted it. It certainly was a mistake on my part. I sincerely apologize for having done that. I guess I was having what we call a "senior moment!" I'm very sorry.

Dear Carolyn,

no problem at all. I noticed a lot of spam mail nearby in the last two days.
So it can easily happen to push the wrong button.

Thanks again for the good work.

PS.: By the way sometime in February I will be in Miami for a few days.
Do you know if we have an ABA member there with an interesting collection
of table or bell pushes whom I could possibly contact and ask for permission to see
his/her collection?
