Ohio Farm Bell

Postby cuffs54 » Sun Apr 24, 2011 5:02 pm

I am trying to find out information on my family's old farm bell. It is marked B.C. or B.G. Taylor Dayton, O on the yoke. It hung on our family farm in Ohio from the mid 1800's until I removed it, when the old farm house was sold about 20 years ago. The bell itself is quite large 17 inches in diameter and around 12 inches tall, if you don't count the part going up through the yoke. It appears to be made of iron. Any information anyone can give me as to were it was made, etc, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Is there any chance you can post a picture of your bell?
