Need help identifying table bell

Postby raven0614 » Tue Dec 27, 2011 11:15 pm

I am hoping to get some identifying information for this bell. It belonged to my grandmother and I haven't been able to find out any information on its origins. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kerri

Hi Kerry,

I have a similar bell in my collection. The difference is the head decoration. In my case it is a crown and therefore a queen - possibly Maria Stuart. Figural bells of your type are quite common and in most cases it is impossible to say something definite about their origin. Many of them are made in France or England and very few show the makers mark or the foundry.

Always interested in members possessing bells by Peter Tereszczuk. If possible please send a photo of such bells via E-mail to me. If you like to see details of my collection see the following website: http://bellcollector.jimdo.com
