American Foundry Bell Repair

Postby dpike866 » Thu Dec 08, 2011 9:26 pm

I have recently acquired a #2 bell made by the American Foundry of Northville, Michigan. Unfortunately the crank is missing and I would like to replace it. The end of the finger of the yoke onto which the crank should attach is ragged and may have been broken. From the photos I have received from Prindle Station Bells, it appears that the CS Bell Company F-2 crank might fit onto my American Foundry bell. Does anyone have any experience replacing the crank on an American Foundry bell ? All suggestions gratefully received.
