I'm seeking information about an 11" brass ships bell in my posession.
The bell is stamped with a crown (british)
the letters A.M.
the date 1940
Ontop of the bell are stamped the letters A.T.W.
the bell has a cast iron clanger with a brass ball.
Any thoughts on possible history, potential value would be much appreciated.

I just posted an 11" Cast brass ship's bell here in For Sale sect, and in Big Bells sect, (plz see for more info).
Mine has NO I.D markings of any kind, and the outside surface was turned on a lathe...was yours??? Also, plz post height and top diameter measurements of bell IF possible.
I'll post pics soon.
